This site is describing how the United States Government is organized and how it is meant to work.  The United States Governnment is organized in three branches, the Executive Branch, the Legislative Branch, and the Judicial Branch.

Checks and Balances in the Government
The Legislative Branch creates the laws that the Executive Branch approves of and enforces.  The Judicial Branch then interprets the laws and determines whether or not the laws follow the constitution.  That is just the flow for a law, there is more to know about these bodies of government.
